The traditions of Yoga are rooted in Hatha. This class focuses on alignment, conscious movement, and mindfulness, as it beautifully combines fluidity (flow) with the breath. Each class ends with a meditation to let all the magic of the class sink into every cell & wisdom within. Great for all levels of yoga experience.
Gain flexibility, strength, and calmness of mind as you move through yoga poses in a smooth and flowing manner. Emphasis is on linking the breath with each movement to build inner heat to aid in cleansing the body of toxins leading to balanced health mentally, physically, & emotionally. Class ends with a 10 minute relaxation or meditation bringing you to a centered peaceful state. Beginners & advanced students welcome as both high & low versions of postures are demonstrated.
Yoga poses are chosen to help the body relax, recharge, and heal in the middle of your day. The poses are held longer to allow the yin feminine qualities of patience & expansive awareness to unfold. As the body begins to open and the mind quiets, students feel their energy flow as the demands of life off the yoga mat melt away. Yin yoga is based on the Chinese meridian system; with acupuncture-like benefits; no needles. This class ends with guided relaxation. Great class for all levels and beginners will feel right at home.
The beauty of yin yoga merges with Hatha yoga. The masculine and feminine energies are both held and nurturing lovingly. This class blends the longer held (fascia releasing and nerve massage yin poses) with the stable and heat generating (yang poses). The waving of yin and yang is both relaxing and exhilarating. Bring your mat, beach towel, and curious soul. Take a stroll over the bridge and then dig your toes into the sand at Ottertail Beach. Nature will speak and we heed the guidance as we fuse with the elements ~ nurturing our inner and outer realities. A blending of "styles" of yoga (Flow ~ Hatha ~ Yin) each class uniquely called Shamanic Yoga ~ merging with the wisdom of the seen and unseen.
