RESCHEDULED DATE: NEXT workshop June 14th 2020 The drum beat and Spirit knew. The spirit within nature ~ within you ~ within we ~ within the infinite All. Great Spirit ~ you may call God ~ and my soul names Divine Love. She knew I was calling to her sovereign truth and infinite wisdom. The drum beat rattled & roared waking the dormant light that was bursting to shine. Did you know that when a drum beats to a particular rhythm ~ your overactive mind that is often in fix-it or figure-it-out mode ~ goes silent. Your prayers and intentions raise and you are sacredly connected. You merge with the mystical unseen as the unknown becomes known. On Sunday, June 14th from 1-6pm you are in for a (beat) treat. You will be working with a beautiful & powerful soul (the founder of Red Eagle Drums) as you make your own drum. First choosing the hide from a four-legged that will walk with you in your journey ~ and then weaving and creating a work of art to play and take ~ to be part of your personal spiritual journey. And after your drum is created ~ morphed into being ~ I will help you bring her to life! We will embark on a gentle shamanic yoga session and drum blessing ceremony as your drum reveals the medicine it holds and takes a "name" as a union is formed. And then... we will charge the vibration high in drum circle. Woo hoo!! A gem of a workshop that has been calling to be shared for a long time...yet now is the divine time. June 14th 1-6pm EVENT is FULL ~ Join the tribe next time xo Participants will make a 15” drum
After registering ~ please email your frame selection & hide choice. Frame choices: round or 8-sided Hide choices: deer, elk, or buffalo ~ pictured left to right (in above photo) **Optional 18” frame - add $20 to be paid at the workshop. Every hide is different so the picture above serves as just a sample. Deer hide is thin ~ making a light weight drum. Elk is a thicker hide ~ less susceptible to humidity than the thinner hides. Buffalo is a heavy hide ~ generally darker in color and has a deep voice. The shape of the frame does not affect the sound. The round frames are maple plywood. The MN cedar 8-sided frames are made in the Dori's RedEagle drum shop. ********* Doris is a gem and you will love her wise ~ powerful ~ yet gentle soul. Doris made her first drum from a "Tandy Leather Kit" over 25 years ago. In 2009 ~ her courage and strong belief in the spiritual powers of drumming led her to create RedEagle Drums. Following her husband Izzy's diagnosis of lung cancer, Doris longed for clarity and meaning. Through the course of his battle with cancer and death in 2002, she began a search for Spirit. Doris learned the power of prayer. She discovered and grew increasingly committed to developing a special relationship...a connection to Spirit. She followed her quest with determination which eventually led her to express that relationship with Spirit through drumming. Doris and I are beyond excited to be co-guides on your drum making & blessing ceremony journey. Aho!
